Collection includes three letters and the year-long diary of Hall, who served as pastor of the Baptist church in Williamsburg, Virginia. He resigned as pastor of the church in June of 1873, due to ill health. The diary includes a wealth of information on the concerns of a Baptist minister and the routine events of life, including his resignation letter.
